Circuit/System Verification

Ignition ON, observe the scan tool BCM Central Door Lock Switch on Console parameter. The reading should be Inactive and change to Lock and

Unlock when pushing the appropriate switch.

Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the A20 radio/HVAC control.

2. Ignition ON, verify the scan tool Central Door Lock Switch on Center Console parameter is Inactive.

瀚慖f the value is Lock , test the signal circuit terminal 12 for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K9 BCM.

瀚慖f the value is Unlock , test the signal circuit terminal 13 for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K9 BCM.

3. If all circuits test normal, replace the A20 radio/HVAC control.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (See: Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.

DTC Descriptor

DTC B3155 00

- Passenger Exterior Lock Sensor Malfunction

Diagnostic Fault Information

Circuit/System Description

The exterior passenger door handle contains a small sensor which allows a person to lock the vehicle doors from the outside without using the

remote keyless transmitter. The keyless entry control module monitors the voltage level on the passenger door handle switch signal circuit, when

the switch is pressed, the voltage in the signal circuit will drop and the keyless entry control module will then send a serial data message to the

BCM to command all the doors to lock.

Conditions for Running the DTC

Battery voltage is between 9-16 V.
