Conditions for Running the DTC

* The touch pad in the driver door or passenger door handle is touched within 15 minutes of any door ajar status changing.

* Any exterior door handle or handles is pulled.

* The last door becomes closed.

* Pressing the start/stop switch.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

B3123 02

The keyless entry control module detects a short to ground on the rear center console keyless entry antenna signal circuit.

B3123 05

The keyless entry control module detects a short to B+ or an open on the rear center console keyless entry antenna signal circuit.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

Vehicle will not detect the transmitter in some locations inside the vehicle. If the transmitter is not detected then vehicle will not change ignition

Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the T10K center console rear keyless entry antenna.

2. Ignition ON, test for less than 1 V between the signal circuit terminal 1 and ground.

瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K84 keyless entry

control module.

3. Ignition OFF, install a DMM between the signal circuit terminal 1 and ground. Set the DMM to capture DC voltage using the MIN MAX

function.

4. Activate the antenna by pressing the ignition mode switch. Verify the MAX voltage captured by the DMM is OL or is greater than.5 V.

瀚慖f less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace

the K84 keyless entry control module.
